Note: This is a Crossover Session that is featured at the National Summit on Improvement in Education. Attendees from both conferences can attend this session, so there will be a mix of participants from Deeper Learning and from Summit. Join us on a powerful journey to discover how schools and communities can join forces to transform literacy outcomes for all students.
In this session, we will share how structured literacy training, strategic leadership support, and a gradual-release coaching model can dramatically improve student achievement. You will experience ways students can take ownership of their learning through goal setting based on diagnostic data.
Drawing on decades of research and recommendations from the Education Advisory Board (2019), we’ll address systemic barriers to reading success and provide practical, data-driven strategies for lasting improvement.
Participants will gain practical tools and strategies which they can apply immediately to their own improvement efforts. Specifically, we will introduce the Change Matrix process tool, which participants can use to identify and overcome barriers and to fuel their literacy continuous improvement journey.
